Growing up in the 90s in Dover, UK, James Cunningham discovered his passion for music. His talent and dedication brought him to London in 2011, where he has worked full-time in the music industry ever since. With a diverse background spanning management, gigging, touring, DJing, tape restoration, recording, producing, mixing, and mastering, James has a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
James has honed his skills by working with some of the industry's best, including TMS (Lewis Capaldi), Mark Ralph (Clean Bandit, Jax Jones), Jamie Snell (Dua Lipa), and James F. Reynolds (BTS, Calvin Harris). He has built an impressive portfolio, mixing and mastering tracks for artists such as Liam Gallagher, Fred Again, New Era, Ice Spice, PinkPantheress, Victoria Canal, and more.
Currently, James works as an engineer for major labels like Warner, Atlantic, Parlophone, Polydor, Decca, 2TE, FFFR, and GRM Daily. He is also advancing his career by collaborating with independent artists through all stages of production. Notably, James was part of the team that helped BTS break The Beatles' Billboard chart record for the highest number of number one records in a year.
